Social Responsibility

Corporate and Social Responsibility

Each one of us has an impact to a greater or lessening degree on the society and planet which we live in.  Braidwood Fire sets to minimise any negative effect which our operation or processes may have within our environment and maximise the benefits of those around us as a result of our existence.

We aim to be a company driven not by the obtaining of material wealth and stereotypical greed for growth which some aspects of secular society would lead us to believe as acceptable but a company that hopes to bless and support others as a result of the good things that we have received to coin a phrase we aim to “love our neighbour”.

To this end, there are a number of projects that we are involved in which include: -

Clintlaw Forest

In order to reduce our environmental impact we are planting trees, around 70 acres of them.  We have purchased a forest and land in the heart of the Angus glens ofScotlandwhere we are planting more trees (which will hopefully not be eaten by our two herds of resident deer who choose to stay within Clintlaw).  If you would like to be part of this and off-set some of your own carbon footprint please get in touch.

Fire Engines and Ambulances

Since 1997 our team have actively been involved in delivering aid to people inEastern Europe.  In 2007 we started assisting the delivery of fire engines and ambulances to Serbia, Moldova & Romania.  To date we have organised and delivered 35 fully equipped fire engines and 9 fully equipped ambulances and still counting.  Each fire engine saves an average 40 people’s lives per year and each ambulance in excess of 100 people year on year.  Follow the links below for more information.
